While the boys were at school, Emma and I were playing in the back and spotted a Praying Mantis. Emma thought he (or she!) was pretty cool!

Here's Mason on his first day of 3rd grade! His teacher is Mrs. Tafoya & it's her first year teaching. Mason had a great day...He has quite a few friends in his class and is excited for the new school year!
Colter turned 14 on August 24th. Jen and Chris baptized baby Kaycie that morning, so we went to the service, then had lunch back at their house. Jen surprised Colt with a special piece of cake, complete with 14 candles! Later, we had the family over for dinner. I can't believe my boy is 14!!! Yikes! He's such a good kid and we are very lucky to have him! Happy birthday Colter!
