On Saturday night we went to the annual Christmas parade and lighting of Christmas Village. It was packed! There were so many people, Emma had to watch the parade from daddy's shoulders! After the parade, we walked over to the park for the annual lighting of the village. As soon as the lights went on, fireworks lit up the sky. Emma loved it at first, but after about five minutes she started to get scared. Daddy had to hold her and give her loves. When it was finally over, we decided to walk through the village. There were so many people we couldn't even see the houses. We'll come back another time. Maybe after it snows.....

Black Friday.........
On Friday we braved the crowds and went shopping at the Gateway. Justine had to work, so we went over to Old Navy to visit her. It was really busy, but we still were able to visit and shop. After we shopped for awhile, we took Emma and Mason to visit Santa. We thought Emma would be nervous, but it was Mason who was hesitant to sit on Santa's lap. We had to prod him to go up! Not Emma! She marched right up and told him that she wanted a dolly for Christmas! What a cutie!

Happy Thanksgiving....
This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Grandma Sue, Jeni, Mardee, Grandma Joyce, Grandpa Vern and Quayden. Tobin, Diana, Kyra and Archer stopped by later for dessert. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed spending time with our family. We are truly blessed! We loved having Quayden with us, but we wished Brenn, Sylina and Briggs could have been here. Little Briggs is recovering from his surgery and we can't wait until he can come home. Then it will really be Thanksgiving!
Emma Jayne, Quayden and Mason (I guess there was a flash issue here?)
Grandpa Vern and a very tired Emma Jayne...
Bruce the Turkey chef. It was so good!!!

Two wonderful girls!!!!
Here is Emma Jayne with the "Winegator", the mascot for our local grocery store. She loves him! This guy is just cardboard, but sometimes they put a large blow-up one in the parking lot. When we drive by and he isn't there, she alway's says "Oh-the Winegator must be sleeping". When he's there, she yells "Yeah! The Winegator woke up!!!". When the cardboard one is out, she has to run up and give him a big hug and a kiss! What a silly girl!
Justine and I had a fun "girls" day on Sunday, we went to Ulta! We've had such a stressful week, so it was nice to get away. She had a gift card that we gave her for her birthday, and I couldn't restist getting her some new perfume (She's such a good girl!). She ended up getting a bunch of new makeup and had to try it out as soon as we got home. Here she is. Isn't she beautiful? Not that she needs makeup to prove it....

Tuesday, November 11th is a horrible, crappy, yucky day
Yesterday was the 12th anniversary of my beloved grandma Wayment's death. Her passing was very hard for me, and it still is all these years later. I learned so much from her! I loved her so much. We were very close and I miss her tremendously. I planned on blogging on it yesterday, but we got some horrible news. My cute little nephew, Briggs was diagnosed with a brain tumor. We are all in shock! He is the sweetest little guy and we love him so much! He is having surgery today to remove it, so we can use your prayers and positive thoughts. Please keep Briggs, Brenn, Sylina and Quayden in your prayers! We love you guys!!!!!
UPDATE: Little Briggs continues to improve. He had his surgery, and is currently recovering. We love him so much! Please keep him in your prayers!Get well little Briggers!!!!

Ok. Get ready for a ton of Halloween photos! Our revelry started on Monday evening with pumpkin carving! Bruce and Colter got home from Seattle that afternoon and Bruce didn't have to fly out until Tuesday, so we cooked some tortilla soup and went to work! Mason's pumpkin was huge (as noted in the previous pumpkin patch post!)! It took him forever to scoop out all of the seeds and junk! I can't stand to have hanging pumpkin junk in my pumpkin, so it took me forever too! After I helped Mason with his pumpkin and carved mine, it was time to clean, separate and roast the seeds. While I was working on the seeds, Bruce pulled out the electric carving knife and went to work. He and Mason carved the "X" pumpkin! Pretty cool! They also carved Emma's pumpkin (which we grew in our garden). Here is our handy work:
On Halloween I took Mason, Drake and Emma Jayne to the Treehouse museum for the annual Halloween party. I thought Mason and Drake would be bored, but they had a great time....Emma's favorite part was the Halloween sing-a-long. She loved singing, and for the first time, didn't mind me singing with her!
Emma Jayne enjoying her "lady bug picnic" of sushi (my kind of picnic!!)....

I love the Zebra/Lady Bug combo here....

Little miss Halloween song singer!
On Halloween night we were so excited to have Bruce home to Trick-or-Treat! I cooked up a big pot of chili for dinner, then Bruce and I took Emma to the houses on our block. It was her first time Trick-or-treating & she had a great time! Luckily the weather was really warm....she didn't even need a jacket. After we were done, Grandma Sue, Jeni and Nikki came out to eat. I wanted everyone to sit down and eat, but Mason and Drake were going crazy-they couldn't wait, so Bruce took them out. The rest of us had a nice meal, passed out treats and watched "Ghost Hunter's live" on TV. Later, Grandpa Vern and Grandma Joyce stopped by. Bruce and Mason were by our house again, so Grandpa and Bruce took Emma around again. By the end of the night, Bruce was tired and starving and Mason had a huge bag of candy!!!!
Walking to the door....
