At the park.....

On Tuesday the kids were off school and the weather was beautiful, so we walked up to the park at the school. Mason and Drake wanted to play at the "big" playground, but Emma was content to play at the Kindergarten one. It's just her size. She had a ball climbing up the stairs, crawling through the tunnel and sliding down the slide. After awhile we walked over to meet the boys. I thought Emma would be intimidated by the bigger slides, but not her. She climbed to the top of the biggest one and went right down! What a monkey! After we were done, Emma did not want to go home. I had to strap her in the stroller, kicking and screaming. Once we started walking, we saw a surprise in the creek-the ducks have returned! This calmed her down, so I let her out to look at them. We couldn't get very close, but she kept saying "Hey Duckies"! After we started to walk back to the stroller, she tripped and got her first skinned knee! It was so sad! We hurried home to get a Band-aid, then went out again. Of course the second we got outside, she tripped again and this time skinned BOTH knees! After some loves and kisses she was a good as new and still wanting to play outside............ She has a funny look on her face in this picture (above) because she heard the train.

Easter Brunch.

This Easter we held our annual brunch at our house rather than going out. We had some wonderful breakfast treats and enjoyed the company of our family. After we ate, it was outside for the egg hunt. We hid some eggs with money inside, so Colter and Mason were just as excited as the little guys. They had all had a great time. It was a beautiful day, so we spent the rest of the time outside. The kids loved playing on the playset and we had a great time talking and catching up. We missed Braden, who was in California, but we were excited to meet Brant's girlfriend, Kendell. She is very nice(not to mention cute!) and even played pool with Mason! They make a darling couple. What a great Easter. We're so grateful to spend these times with our family..... Emma loves it when Daddy pushes her on the swings.
Kyra and Archer loved the tire swing......

At the Michaelson's annual St. Patrick's day bash!

On Saturday we attended the Michaelson's St. Patrick's day party. The festivities started in the morning with Bruce, Colter, Jon, Taylor and Rich taking a bike ride around Antelope Island. Later in the afternoon, a leprechan hunt was scheduled, but cancelled due to the snow. That evening we went for Sushi to celebrate Grandma Sue's birthday , then on to the party. The boys decided to stay with Grandma & Jen, so it was just Bruce, Paige, Juss, Emma and later, Chase.
Rich cooked a traditional Irish meal, with wonderful corned beef. Even though we were pretty stuffed with sushi, we still made room! It was delicious. For a joke, Angie bought fake lottery tickets and everybody "won" $5,000! It was pretty funny to turn over the ticket to claim your prize. The address was Money Fairy, 123 NoWhere drive, in Make Believe Land. Quite a few of us fell for it! Another fun thing-Angie presented all of us with prizes. The kids had little treat bags, and all of us girls got a beautiful locket bracelet. What a fun time! We love you Angie and Rich!

Funny Emma.....

Emma and I have been trying to walk everyday. We get about half way and Emma wants to get out of her stroller and walk. She can walk almost the whole way. She likes to play a funny game. She "Jumps" over every crack in the sidewalk. Needless to say it takes a quite awhile to walk a mile, but it's pretty fun.

Crazy Eight!

Our little "May-May" turned eight on March 4th. He was so excited to wear his "Crazy Eight" shirt! Grandma Sue came out to watch Emma so I could bring cup cakes and give a presentation on vintage story books to the class. The kids were excited about the cup cakes, but not thrilled with the books. After school we took him to Toys R Us to pick out a present (a kit for his DS) from Grandma, then back home for pizza. On Saturday, we took Mason, Colter, Jackson, Jordan, Quayden and Drake to laser tag. They had a great time& when they were done, Grandparents and Jeni came over for pizza and cake. Mason loved his party and all of his great gifts. Happy Birthday Mason!

Prom Night!

Tonight was Justine's first prom! She was so excited..... We picked out this gorgeous dress a few weeks back. She tried on quite a few and had found one she liked, but when we saw this one on, we knew it was the "one". It's beautiful (but a pain to iron as I discovered last night!). Chase picked her up about noon for their "day activity". They went to the Salomon Center and played pool with a group of friends. At 3 I met her at the salon to get her hair done. It took forever, but the end result was beautiful! We raced home so she could put on her "evening" makeup & by 5:30 she was ready to go. After posing for pictures they were off. We will have to have her post a "Justine" update tomorrow with all (or maybe some) of the details. Wow, our little girl is now a real live princess (but still a daddy's girl as you see above). We love our Justine!
PS-Mason wanted to get in the action and he did so by throwing his frog in one of the pictures. See if you can pick which one......
