15 Years & Counting....

Today is our 15th anniversary. Yes, 15 years ago today I said "I do" to my soul mate. I love Bruce with all of my heart. We've had many challenges, but have always faced them head on, and always together. This year has been especially tough. Being apart while Bruce was traveling, getting USED to Bruce being away, Moving to Seattle, not moving to Seattle, and the awful Cancers (Joyce, Wade, and poor little Briggs). I guess what this year has taught us as a couple (as well as a family) is to hold each other up, to love unconditionally, and to respect one another. Not that we didn't do these things in the past, but now there seems to be a different meaning, a new perspective. We've always been close, but now more than ever, we see how important it is. I love you Bruce, and look forward to the next 60 years ( Yes, my goal is to make it to the 75th anniversary! I'll be 97, Bruce will be 98. Perfect!)! As for today, We sent the kids down to Grandma and Grandpa's (THANK YOU!!!), then headed down to the Gateway to eat. We had a great dinner at Thaipoon, then visited Juss at Old Navy. It was nice to get away, if only for a few hours! When we got home, Mason snapped this picture of us in front of the fire. Happy Anniversary Bruce! I love you.

Happy Valemtimes day!!!!

Happy Valemtimes day! Well, that's how Emma Jayne would say it! Here are some highlights of our celebration:

For Mason's class party, he had to make a Valentines box. He and Bruce set to work and created this great robot/cell phone! Isn't it cool? Here are the two creative robot builders!
I was in charge of Mason's class party. We made Valentines "Love Bugs" to give to someone special, then wrote a letter to tell the recipient why they were "Love Bugs". It was pretty cute. Mason wanted to do two. One for Colter, and one for Quayden! That's one thing you can say about Mason, he is very loving! His robot won the award for "Most Futuristic"!

Here it is. Robot love! Mason's friend Kinzie created a GIRL robot. It was love at first sight....

On Valentines day, Grandma Joyce, Emma and I attended a wedding shower for our cousin Riley. Grandma Joyce got Emma the cutest Valentines dress and a heart shaped box of (what else?) Chocolate! Thanks Grandma! We had a great time visiting with family. Here's Emma with her buddy Wyatt! I think we might have to get a puppy for her.....

Here's Emma with Amy's darling daughter Madison. Emma had the best time playing with her! I'll have to have her come babysit!

That night, we packed up Emma and Mason (Colter went to a movie with his friends, and Justine and Chase had a date) and took them up to Grandma Sues so we could go to dinner. Grandma bought Emma the cutest little gardening cart and tools. The first thing Emma did was put Junior in the cart! He wasn't too thrilled....Grandma also bought her a really neat Valentines book. Mason and Colter each got a cool musical card and some Valentine cash. Thanks Grandma! And thanks to Nikki and Jeni who bought Emma the cutest Baby Gap dress. After we got the kids settled, we went to dinner. We tried to get into Tona, but they were packed (We even got there way early!), so we headed down to Shin-Sei. The food was great! We were even able to sit in one of the private tea rooms. Very romantic! I *heart* you Bruce....After dinner, we headed to the mall to pick up Colt and his friends. Not so romantic! When we got home, Justine and Chase had returned from their date. Chase is such a great guy! He brought up a dozen roses the night before and put them in her room. Then on Saturday night, he presented her with his gift, a hand-tooled leather belt! It's even painted pink! Justine hand painted this really cool plate for Chase. He loved it! We had a great Valentines day this year!!

Emma's First Haircut!

On Monday I took Emma to get her bangs cut. We were going to grow them out, but it was turning into a big hassle! Emma HATES to have her hair done. I was a little worried how she would act, but she sat right up in the chair and let Amber cut her bangs, then actually style it! A major accomplishment for Emma!
